Twelve representatives from the six Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries participated in a regional course for Border Guards on combatting trafficking in human beings (THB). The training, held on 14-18 May 2018 in Tbilisi, Georgia, was the third THB regional course organised within the EaP IBM Capacity Building project over the last four years.

The purpose of the training was to create awareness, increase understanding and enhance knowledge among Border Guards of trafficking in human beings, as well as the characteristics, actors, functioning and mechanisms of this crime. The training was led and moderated by two experts from EU Member States, the Frontex THB Coordinator and two experts from the Georgian office of the International Organisation for Migration.
