Moldovan Border Guards And Customs Officials Pay Study Visit To Poland

31 May 2018 Moldovan Border Guards And Customs Officials Pay Study Visit To Poland

The visit was intended to support Moldovan and Romanian Border Guards and Customs in enhancing cooperation and development of joint border control at BCPs on their share of the EU’s external border. The International Centre for Migration Policy Development, the project partner, organised a visit to the Budomierz BCP on the Polish-Ukrainian border, as a good example of joint control and cooperation between an EU Member State and a third country.

During the study visit, the participants were informed about the practical implementation of various aspects of border control in one place: legislation and regulations on control (EU, national legislation and bi-/multilateral agreements), the technological system of control, exchange of information between the agencies, risk analysis, planning, reporting, transit operations in joint BCPs, electronic declarations, NCTS, behind-the-scene logistics and key challenges.
